Stephanie Grogier

Age: 15

Stephanie has always loved the piano and dancing since she was a little girl. When she was around 4, she went over to her aunt's house. Her aunt owned an old, beat up piano kept in the attic. Bound by the curiosity, Stephanie had went up into the attic and started playing random keys. Within a couple of minutes, Stephanie was playing as if she had a lifetime's worth of lessons and practice.

Stephanie looks nothing like her parents, or her brother. She has lighter hair, and much brighter eyes. Sometimes she wonders if she was adopted, but whenever she says that to her mother she brings out the pictures of Stephanie's birth.

Keith has missed a lot of important events in Stephanie's and Nathan's life, such as piano recitals or the showing of a painting in an art exhibit. This resulted in Stephanie feeling resentment towards her father and everything he does. Some of this resentment ends up being aimed at other people around her, minus her mother and brother.

Nathan's Profile

Nathan Grogier

Age: 10

Nathan isn't exactly what you would call a "normal child". He enjoys the outdoors, like any other kid, but he absolutely hates toys. He prefers to let out his imagination through painting. He's painted countless pictures, ranging from a simple flower to a marvelous mountain range with a river cutting through.

Aside from the painting, there's another thing that sets him apart from other kids his age. He doesn't have very many friends, but talks about loads of people that he's befriended. Whenever asked specific questions about his friends that no one has met, he refuses to answer. His mother, father, and sister all believe that these "friends" of his are only imaginary.

Keith's Profile

Keith Grogier

Age: 43

Keith was the youngest child of five children. He had three older brothers and one older sister. All of his siblings teased him constantly, and so at home he mostly stayed in his room. School was a different story though. He picked up on his siblings' disruptive behavior, and so Keith let that come out at school. All of his teachers had to send him out of the classroom everyday.

Now, Keith is practically the exact opposite. After he graduated high school, he realized that there was nothing for him to do in life. He decided he wanted to go to college and work in the science field, a long hidden talent of his. Keith spends almost all his spare time in his study, reading up on everything having to do with science.

Teresa's Profile

Teresa Grogier

Age:42

Teresa grew up the only child of two very strict parents. Since her parents were always so hard on her, she decided to rebel and become a bratty, troubled teenager. Her parents got so sick of her, they sent her to live with her grandma until she "fixed her behavior issues". Teresa ended up staying at her grandma's until she went off to college.

Teresa is now the mother of Stephanie and Nathan, and the wife of Keith. Keith and Teresa met in high school, when Keith was what they call a "loose canon" and Teresa was the "bad girl". They had fallen completely and madly in love. They are still in love, but everything about them has changed. Teresa now enjoys the quiet life, and she bakes many different goods and donates them to orphan shelters.
